Field trip to Lower Skagit - lots of Bald Eagles, mostly juvenile and two new species - Trumpeter Swan (not hugely fond of most of the shots of them) and Snow Geese.

Hey Rob! Thanks so much for the comments and the I'm loving that spring is finally here. I've been missing the sunshine and the warmth. I can't wait to start working with color film next quarter. We get to do a "field trip" down to the Tulip fields! I've never been able to go at the right time; usually end up going right as they're past their prime. Just gotta survive the rest of finals week! Have a great week, ~Margaret

Hi Rob! Nope, not snowed in up here. In fact we hardly got any snow at all. Its just been really cold and windy and damp. I've been taking advantage of the bus system and trying to stay as dry as possible. Currently working on a project in my photography class. We're using Holgas and making 20x20 digital prints. Lots of fun! Have a great weekend. ~Margaret

Hey, Rob - thanks for the great comments, the and especially the - though that confuses me, cos I thought you'd be watching me for years!
Putting thumbs in your journal is probably even easier than putting in links: just copy the :thumbxxxxx: from the box at the bottom of the Details panel on the deviation and paste it in...
As for the new Canon, I've just been perusing the 40D and drooling... At our age we shouldn't still be having to count the pennies
Hey Rob!
Yes, I'm surviving the weather. Thankfully Bellingham doesn't flood since we're up high.. But... I saw pictures from around my home and its crazy! I'm worried about the farm. We've got 3 creeks that always flood with just a little bit of rain, so this much worries me. I also saw a photo somewhere of the road I drive to get to the farm and the water was up to the windshield on a car..
As for school, I've been a declared photography major since Freshman year, and I finally get to take my first photography class next quarter! I also just met my adviser/professor today. He reminds me of a tired, grumpy, old man. Well at least thats what he looked like today. He seemed stressed. Then again, its his own fault for going on sabbatical for a year and the art department didn't get a replacement for that time. I've got my first final tomorrow and then another one next week and then its time for break! Yay!
Congrats on the job!! I'm still trying to get one up here. I thought I had one, but I haven't heard from them yet, so I'm stressed. I need one so I can pay tuition for Spring Quarter. Bleh.
Well take care and watch out for flooding rivers!
